Job summary

ABB in Mebane, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Associate to support routine machine setup, adjustments, and simple part replacements. The role requires following ABB safety guidelines and maintaining records of maintenance and repairs.

You will operate equipment per schedules and ensure a safe, efficient production environment. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and at least a year in manufacturing, with ability to lift up to 40 lbs and use common hand tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine machinery set-up, adjustments, and repair and fitting of simple replacement parts.
• Ensure regular maintenance of equipment, tools set-up, programming activities, and troubleshooting and reporting issues; maintain detailed records of set-ups, repairs, and maintenance.
• Keep track of approved, defective units and final products.
• Execute tasks according to agreed workflows and ABB Standard processes and safety guidelines; report any non-compliance.
• Operate machines according to operating manual, work schedule, and production orders.
• Maintain a safe working attitude and environment during daily activities.
