Job summary

TYR Tactical is seeking a Cutter Operator to cut armor fabrics using established patterns with precision. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 lbs, and dexterity with hand tools, sanders, and bandsaws.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year in manufacturing, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a production setting. Prior construction experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant manufacturing experience.
• Preferably a High school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing operations environment preferred.
• Ability to stand for 8–12 hours while using cutting tools.
• Ability to lift and move raw materials weighing up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Spreads, marks, and cuts fabric materials according to established patterns and production requirements.
• Organizes and prioritizes cutting tasks to align with the production schedule and team needs.
• Demonstrates proficiency in using a variety of tools, including hand tools, sanders, and bandsaws.
• Possesses experience working with diverse raw materials, such as soft fabrics and hard plastics.
• Stands for extended periods of 8-12 hours while operating cutting tools.
• Safely and efficiently handles and moves raw materials weighing up to 60 lbs to designated work areas.
• Prior experience in construction is a plus.
