PDS Defense is seeking an FAA Assembly and Test Technician in Torrance, CA. The role focuses on precision assembly of production and repair actuators for the FAA industry, ensuring dimensional accuracy and strict adherence to specifications.

The position requires proficiency with mechanical assembly tools and measurement devices, plus ability to read blueprints and follow detailed assembly instructions. Export-controlled information may be involved.

Qualifications

• Minimum security clearance: No clearance required.
• Access to U.S. export‑controlled information is required.
• Proficiency with mechanical assembly tools and measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and align components through shimming and other mechanical adjustments as specified by blueprint or other specifications.
• Utilize mechanical measuring equipment to achieve proper assembly build requirements.
• Apply torque wrenches, fixtures, tooling and other measuring devices to maintain dimensional accuracy on assemblies.
• Follow assembly instructions, both written and oral.
• Work with U.S. export‑controlled information as required.
