Fairbanks Morse Defense in Beloit, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive machining experience and strong problem-solving skills to identify, develop, and implement manufacturing strategies for engine component production and testing.

Formación

• Degree(s) in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical engineering or technical field.
• Ability to work with tight tolerances in a high-precision environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Technical certification or associate degree preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Identify, develop, and evaluate manufacturing techniques that support production improvements with measurable ROI.
• Compile justifications for equipment or technologies supporting improvements with 18-month ROI or better.
• Assist in selecting, purchasing, and installing new multi-million-dollar equipment.
• Collaborate with engineering when designing new products to ensure manufacturability.
• Employ ergonomic strategies to promote a safe, employee-friendly work environment.
• Assist design/test stands and fixtures for manufacturing of new products and specify new machines and processes.
• Create and maintain documentation of tooling, fixtures, gaging, and shop concepts.
• Work with suppliers to develop manufacturing processes meeting standards and specs.
• Develop processes, tooling, fixtures, setups, and CNC programs.
• Perform time studies to develop and validate manufacturing time requirements and costs.
• Develop work instructions for current and updated manufacturing techniques.
• Support production with root cause analysis and NCR resolutions.
• Implement engineering change orders into new or existing processes.
• Support safety and health regulations and manufacturing practices.
