Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an experienced assembler to join a clean room in our ISO-9000 production facility. You will assemble intricate subassemblies and optical detectors, solder and test using precision tools. Candidates should have 3–5 years in electro/mechanical assembly and be comfortable with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of electro/mechanical assembly and test experience.
• Prior microscopic/precision assembly experience.
• IPC-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Experience with ERP Systems
• Experience with ISO-9001

Responsibilities

• Assemble intricate mechanical subassemblies with precision tools and fixtures.
• Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, or similar to join parts.
• Connect lead wires to PCBs and routes between components using bonding techniques.
• Adjust materials to meet electrical and dimensional specs.
• Perform on-line go-no-go testing and inspection with magnifiers and test equipment.
• Measure parts to verify dimensions with precision instruments.
• Set up and operate machinery to modify parts as needed.
• Enter and extract data in production databases and ERP systems.
• Read work orders, drawings, and procedures.
• Participate in cross-training activities.
• Identify documentation issues and propose improvements for new products.
• Assist in transferring new product assemblies into production.
