Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking an experienced electro/mechanical assembler for our ISO-9000 production facility. You will assemble subassemblies and detectors, perform precision tasks, and conduct on-line testing in a clean room environment.

The role requires 3–5 years in electro/mechanical assembly, ability to read drawings, and experience with ERP systems. A team-oriented, detail-focused candidate with IPC-610/J-STD-001 familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in electro/mechanical assembly and test environment.
• Prior microscopic/ precision assembly experience.
• IPC-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Experience with ERP Systems.
• Experience with ISO-9001.

Responsibilities

• Assemble intricate mechanical assemblies and subassemblies with precision tools and fixtures.
• Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, or similar operations using hand tools, power tools, machines and equipment.
• Connect lead wires to PCBs and route wires between components using bonding procedures and equipment.
• Adjust or trim materials to achieve specified electrical or dimensional characteristics.
• Perform on-line go-no-go testing and inspection with magnifying devices and test equipment.
• Measure parts to verify dimensional specifications using precision devices.
• Set up and operate machinery to modify parts as needed.
• Input and extract data from production and ERP databases and systems.
• Read work orders, drawings, and procedures; participate in cross-training.
• Identify documentation problems and initiate corrections for new or existing products.
