Job summary

Matrix Design Group is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble components to defined specifications at our home office in Newburgh, IN. The role supports technical assembly, wiring, and kitting with emphasis on accuracy and adherence to work instructions.

The position reports to the Production Supervisor and requires 3–5 years in a technical assembly or manufacturing setting, strong hand-eye coordination, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint. This is an on-site, first-shift role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience in a technical assembly or manufacturing environment (electronics and/or electro-mechanical assembly preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and process documentation.
• Assemble components and finished goods to product specifications and established work instructions.
• Assemble and install electronic components into sub-assemblies and finished goods.
• Perform in-process and final tests/inspections to verify products meet specifications.
• Document and maintain manufacturing procedures, records, and required production documentation for devices.
• Calibrate, test, and maintain production and test equipment as applicable.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area and comply with company rules and policies.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as fork trucks, pallet jacks, and work-assist vehicles as needed.
• Support ISO/IEC 80079-34 initiatives and related quality requirements.
