Job summary

Zygo Corporation in Middlefield, CT, is seeking an Electronics Assembler to build precise electronic assemblies for our metrology product lines. You will work with PC boards, chassis, cables, and components to exacting specifications.

The role emphasizes cleanroom protocols, documentation with traceability, and collaboration with engineering to resolve issues and ensure quality and on-time production. The position requires 3+ years hands-on PCB experience and a safety-first mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; electronics training/certifications preferred.
• 3+ years hands-on PCB, components, cables experience.
• Able to read electronic drawings, BOM, schematics and build procedures.
• Good math aptitude and attention to detail.
• Safety-first mindset with strong commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble PCBs, chassis, components and cables; operate PCB test stations to troubleshoot and repair at the component level.
• Maintain cleanroom protocols and ensure contamination control during all assembly processes.
• Collaborate with peers, engineering and supervision to support build progress and root-cause analysis.
• Document work with traceability of components and assemblies, and timely completion of work orders.
• Maintain required training certifications and adhere to safety and quality.
