Zygo Corporation in Middlefield, CT is hiring a Metrology Technician to perform in-process and final measurements on optical surfaces and ultra-precision components. You will set up metrology instruments, configure tooling, and calibrate equipment to achieve high-precision results.

Qualifications

3–5 years hands-on production/manufacturing experience or working knowledge of mechanics, operations, or computers.
Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent manual dexterity with attention to detail and quality.
Capable of lifting up to 20 pounds and working in an organized, safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

Test and measure surfaces of optics and optical assemblies to ensure quality.
Set up instruments and interface software for metrology measurements.
Configure tooling and mount components for testing.
Calibrate instruments and tooling for precise measurements.
Collaborate with technicians, engineers and other team members to ensure accurate data.
