Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated is seeking a skilled electro/mechanical assembler to join our ISO-9000 production facility in Trenton, NJ. You will assemble subassemblies and optical detectors, solder, crimp and test parts in a clean room environment, with data entered into ERP systems and adherence to job instructions.

Reporting to the Production Manager, this role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, the ability to read drawings, use precision measuring tools, and work as part of a

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience in electro/mechanical assembly and test environment.
• Prior microscopic/ precision assembly experience.
• IPC-610 or J-STD-001 certification preferred
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Proficient computer skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Experience with ERP Systems
• Experience with ISO-9001

Responsibilities

• Assemble intricate mechanical assemblies and subassemblies with precision tools and fixtures.
• Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, or perform similar operations to join parts.
• Connect wires using crimping, welding, wire bonding or related bonding procedures.
• Adjust or trim materials to meet electrical or dimensional specs.
• Perform on-line go-no-go testing and inspection with measuring instruments and test equipment.
• Measures parts to verify dimensional specifications.
• Set up and operate machinery to modify parts.
• Input data into, and extract data from, production databases and ERP systems.
• Read work orders, drawings, and procedures.
• Participate in cross-training activities.
• Identify problems with documentation and initiate corrections and improvements for new and existing products and methods.
• Assist in transferring new product assemblies, instruments from product development into production.
