Job summary

Carl Zeiss X-ray Microscopy, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to set up, assemble, align, and test advanced electromechanical assemblies for X-ray source production in a controlled cleanroom.

You will handle precision tooling, cabling, and calibration while adhering to strict procedures and quality standards. The role requires an AA degree or higher with 6–10 years of manufacturing experience, strong ability to read drawings, and familiarity with vacuum-related components.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent with 6–10 years in manufacturing.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T; high vacuum equipment familiarity preferred.
• Able to follow procedures and build to documented specs with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision assembly of electromechanical systems and subassemblies.
• Follow procedures, instructions, drawings and quality standards for builds.
• Maintain cleanroom environment and support material flow in manufacturing.
• Conduct QA testing, rework, and drive continual improvement with engineers.
• Train technicians in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Generate and revise assembly procedures based on engineering feedback.
