Job summary

Astrix Inc. in Trumbull, CT is seeking an Assembly Technician to assemble, test, and package electromechanical components and finished products following work instructions and quality standards.

This contract role offers first shift, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Responsibilities include assembling small precision parts with hand tools and magnification equipment, building sub-assemblies, performing basic mechanical and electrical tests, maintaining a clean production area,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of electromechanical or hands-on assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with hand tools and small-part assembly.
• Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures.
• Soldering experience preferred.
• Medical device or regulated manufacturing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble small, precision components using hand tools and magnification equipment.
• Build sub-assemblies and finished products according to work instructions.
• Perform basic mechanical and electrical testing.
• Maintain a clean and organized production area.
• Follow all safety, PPE, ESD, and clean room requirements.
• Identify quality concerns and communicate issues to leadership.
