Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows, IL seeks a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 (2nd shift) to execute and support mechanical activities for optical-mechanical assemblies. You will work from diagrams, perform layouts, and use hand/power tools on opto-mechanical, electro-optical, and mechanical assemblies.

The role requires reading drawings, following instructions, and building wire harnesses, with opportunities for overtime and discretionary bonuses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and 4+ years of mechanical assembly or an Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with tooling and equipment.
• Experience following work instructions and reading/interpreting drawings.
• Experience with building or working with wire harnesses and/or cable assemblies.

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our Team as a Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3 (2nd shift) based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the execution and support of all mechanical activities as they relate to the production of optical-mechanical assemblies, including tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on opto-mechanical, electro-optical and electronic and/or mechanical assemblies. Working from diagrams and drawings, making initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools. Performs continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications provided by engineering groups.

Basic Qualifications For The Precision Electromechanical Assembler 3

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of 4 years of mechanical assembly work experience or an Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Hands on experience with various tooling and equipment.
• Experience following work instructions and reading/interpreting drawings.
• Experience with building or working with wire harnesses and/or cable assemblies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with precision mechanical assemblies and tight tolerance work.
• Soldering, crimping, and connector installation experience.
• Troubleshooting experience with new hardware design.

Primary Level Salary Range: $53,500.00 - $89,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
