Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an Electro-mechanical Assembler in Peabody, MA to build and fine-tune complex components that combine electrical and mechanical systems.

You will work closely with engineering and production teams to meet exacting specifications and quality standards in a hands-on environment. The role requires at least 2 years in electromechanical assembly, ability to read schematics, and experience with wiring, soldering and tooling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in electromechanical assembly or related field.
• Proficient reading of schematics, blueprints, and drawings.
• Hands-on wiring, soldering and use of hand/power tools.
• Familiar with quality control procedures and testing.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with strong attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Basic computer skills; ERP or production tracking a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install electrical and mechanical components per work instructions and diagrams.
• Perform wiring, crimping, soldering, and routing of cables to meet requirements.
• Use hand tools and power tools to assemble parts and subassemblies per specs.
• Conduct inspections and functional tests to ensure proper operation.
• Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues with engineering support.
• Maintain accurate records of materials used and processes followed.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain an organized workspace.
