Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking a Structural Assembler for its TMC Vibration Control division in Peabody, MA.

You will assemble mechanical components and subassemblies to precise specifications, collaborating with production and engineering teams to ensure products meet high-quality standards. The role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and the ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electronics, mechanics, or a related field is a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or a related field.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measurement instruments in an assembly environment.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures, including inspecting and testing assembled components.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and systems according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
• Use hand and power tools to perform assembly tasks such as fastening, aligning, and fitting parts together.
• Inspect and test components to ensure they meet specifications and function as intended.
• Follow safety guidelines and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
• Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams to identify and resolve assembly issues.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, including care and maintenance of tools and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of work performed, including adjustments or modifications to parts or assemblies.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to streamline assembly processes and enhance productivity.
