Job summary

Client Growth Resources, Inc. in Chatsworth, CA is seeking an Assembly/Harnessing Technician to join our SDG Manufacturing Assembly and Test team on first shift.

This on-site role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor in a collaborative environment. Ideal candidates possess a HS Diploma or equivalent, at least 5 years in electrical assembly and soldering, and experience in a highly regulated manufacturing setting (Aerospace, Medical Devices, FDA, etc.).

Qualifications

• J-STD solder certification is required.
• 5+ years of electrical assembly experience.
• 5+ years of soldering experience.
• Read/interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assemble high reliability chassis and final assemblies using circuit cards, stand offs, wire harnesses, solder and crimping, electrical and mechanical instruments.
• Perform high reliability soldering and crimping on complex sub-assemblies, electronic and mechanical assemblies; repair circuit boards, jumper wires, and wire harnesses.
• Decipher and work from assembly drawings, worksheets, parts lists, test specifications, and other instructions, written or oral.
• Follow applicable Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) procedures.
• Work with Product Engineering to diagnose and propose rework on intricate models.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve testing procedures and worksheets.
• Maintain cleanliness and traceability records on controlled programs.
• May travel to customer facilities and service company hardware.
