L & S Electric in Schofield, WI seeks skilled electrical winding technicians. You will inspect, wind, braze, and install coils in AC/DC rotating machines, operate repair and test equipment, and maintain documentation and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Previous motor winding experience.
• Ability to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends.
• Experience with rigging and lifting heavy loads, and operating overhead cranes.
• Good hand/eye coordination.
• Understanding of electrical theory and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Able to wear PPE.

Responsabilités

• Inspect equipment and parts for damage, diagnose possible reasons for issues.
• Wind, assemble, and install coils in AC/DC rotating machines.
• Operate specialized repair and testing equipment for electrical rotating apparatus.
• Braze using oxy-acetylene, induction, and/or resistance welding techniques.
• Observe safety procedures and use proper PPE.
• Complete required job documentation.
• Provide feedback to assist in costing and work scope for rewinds.
• Follow manufacturer recommendations and industry best practices.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment in your area.
• Clean and organize the workspace to maintain safety and productivity.
• Perform other duties as directed by supervision.
