Qualifications

• Must have mechanical and electrical aptitude to install, disassemble, diagnose, and repair rotating machinery.
• Diagnostic proficiency with test meters, insulation testing, vibration analysis, and balance techniques.
• Precision craftsmanship with micrometer readings, machining to tolerances, and coil winding.
• Meticulous attention to detail in repair work and documentation.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain knowledge of AC and DC motor principles and repair practices.
• Read and interpret work orders, schematics, and manuals to determine repair requirements.
• Disassemble motors, generators, gearboxes, and pumps; inspect and clean components.
• Use testing equipment to diagnose faults in armatures, rotors, stators, and windings.
• Rewind coils, replace bearings, brushes, and seals; machine parts to tolerance standards.
• Reassemble and load-test motors to verify performance.
