Job summary

Taylor Defense Products, LLC in Louisville, MS is seeking an Edge Prep Technician to clean surfaces and prepare edges for painting, sealing, manufacturing, or flooring with a focus on precision and safety.

Responsibilities include surface cleaning, edge preparation, chemical mixing, inspection for quality, and adherence to safety protocols. A high school diploma or GED and two years of related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail to spot tiny flaws, residue or uneven edges.
• Physical stamina to stand, bend and use tools for long shifts.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools, scrapers and buffers.
• Must be able to operate a forklift.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Two years of related experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Surface Cleaning: Sweep, vacuum, dust and wash work areas or floors.
• Edge Preparation: Scrape, sand, grind or clean edges to remove old sealant or burrs.
• Chemical Mixing: Mix detergents safely according to product specs.
• Inspection & Quality Control: Ensure edges and cleaned zones meet quality standards.
• Safety Compliance: Use PPE and follow safety protocols with tools and chemicals.
