Job summary

Allan Myers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Fine Grade Dozer Operator to support site grading, mass excavation, and mainline pipe installation on major infrastructure projects.

A minimum of 3 years of bulldozer experience for fine grading is required, with GPS machine control preferred. Valid driver’s license and pre-employment drug screen are required.

You will inspect equipment daily and coordinate with supervisors and earthmoving crews to ensure precise elevations and safe site preparation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating dozers for fine grading in heavy civil construction.
• Experience in site grading, mass excavation, mainline pipe installation, or processed water projects preferred.
• Ability to perform fine grading with or without GPS-assisted machine control.
• Strong knowledge of soil conditions, compaction techniques, and grading tolerances.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and pass pre-employment drug screening and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate dozers (e.g., Cat D5, D6, D8, or similar) for fine grading and surface finishing to meet project specs.
• Work on mass excavation, pipe installation, and processed water projects.
• Utilize GPS machine control systems (preferred) or manually grade to required tolerances.
• Read and interpret construction plans, grade stakes, and laser levels to achieve precise elevations.
• Collaborate with supervisors, pipe crews, and earthmoving teams to ensure efficient site preparation.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and report mechanical issues.
