Job summary

Fortis Solutions Group in Utah is seeking a Digital Die Cut Operator to run the ABG die cutter, apply laminate or UV varnish to digitally printed labels, and complete quality checks. You will log job progress in the ERP, troubleshoot with maintenance, and coordinate with the Shift Supervisor and Production Manager to ensure smooth production.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year in press, printing, or manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills including decimals, fractions, and percentages, plus reading ruler measurements.
• Able to read and interpret SOPs.
• Able to observe, assess and inspect job tickets and finished goods closely.
• Able to communicate well with team and management.
• Must read and understand an English job ticket.
• Proactive and detail oriented to catch problems and bring to management.
• Team player mentality.
• Mechanical aptitude to understand equipment function and troubleshoot.
• Basic computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Receive large, printed rolls from the digital press and run them through the die cut machine.
• Inspect rolls when received and verify to the job order.
• Set up the die cut machine to specifications including dies, wind, Lam or UV, and check instructions.
• Follow quality verifications and complete quality checks as required.
• Log jobs and progress in the ERP system and note special situations.
• Monitor the job to ensure proper registration and die cut.
• Troubleshoot the machine with maintenance as needed.
• Communicate issues with Shift Supervisor, Production Manager, or Scheduler.
• Participate in end-of-shift handoff and ensure machine cleanliness.
• Keep work area clean and follow Fortis policies and safety regulations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects.
• Perform additional duties as required.
