Job summary

Motion Industries is seeking a skilled Fabricator in the United States to interpret blueprints and assemble, modify and repair dies, tools, and mechanical components. You will operate brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, grinders and drill presses to form and finish parts with high precision and tolerance.

Under direct supervision, you will layout, position, align, and secure parts, inspect work for defects, and ensure conformance to specifications while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Ability to handle materials up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lays out, positions, aligns and secures parts per drawings.
• Operate fabricating machines to bend, cut, form, punch or drill components.
• Weld parts in flat, vertical, or overhead positions as needed.
• Inspect pieces for defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
