Job summary

Mittera in Berkeley, IL, seeks an experienced Die Cutting Operator to perform setup, adjustment, and safe operation of die cutting equipment including clamshell, Bobst, and Young Shin.

You will prepare products to be packed, loaded on skids, and ensure items meet customer specifications while maintaining accurate job tickets and production logs. A path to advancement exists with competitive benefits and teamwork-driven environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of die cutting experience preferred (clamshell, Bobst, Young Shin, or similar flatbed equipment).
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and business memos.
• Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to identify and prevent errors and troubleshoot on die cutting equipment.
• Capable of working under deadlines and maintaining organization with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and adjust die cutting equipment per job requirements.
• Mount dies, creasing rules, and stripping tools for proper cut and registration.
• Operate die cutting machines to cut, crease, and perforate materials to spec.
• Load, feed, jog, and stack stock using safe lifting techniques.
• Monitor runs and adjust as needed to meet specifications.
• Maintain and inspect dies; report worn or damaged dies for repair or replacement.
• Follow safety procedures, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout protocols.
