Mittera Creative + Tech in Berkeley is seeking a die cutting operator to set up, adjust, and safely operate die-cutting equipment to meet customer specs. You will prepare products for packing or binding and ensure quality and efficiency on each run.

Responsibilities include mounting dies, making-ready for accurate cut/registration, loading stock, monitoring production, and performing routine equipment maintenance while upholding safety standards.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years die cutting experience preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions and memos.
• Effective communication skills with all levels.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
• Ability to work under deadlines and in stressful situations.
• Organized with ability to plan and prioritize work with minimal supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Set up and adjust die cutting equipment per job requirements.
• Mount dies, creasing tools, and stripping tools for proper cut and registration.
• Operate die cutting machines to cut, crease and perforate material.
• Load, feed, and jog stock; stack finished sheets.
• Monitor runs and adjust to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and replace cutting plates.
• Inspect dies and report worn/damaged dies for repair.
• Notify supervision of mechanical/electrical problems and process work orders.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout and guarding.
• Prepare load flags for outgoing loads.
