Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking an experienced Deburrer to support our manufacturing client in New York. The role focuses on removing sharp edges, excess material, and surface imperfections while following work orders and travelers to ensure quality.

You will operate deburring machines, inspect parts, and maintain a clean, safe work area. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of deburring experience, can read specifications, and communicates clearly in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 2 years of deburring experience or demonstrated ability to perform the responsibilities.
• Ability to use calipers and other manual inspection tools.
• Familiarity with tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, and related accessories.
• Experience with hoists, hand trucks, conveyors, and lifts; read travelers and work orders.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain deburring machines and grinding tools.
• Deburr components to remove sharp edges and excess material.
• Perform light grinding of welds and surface imperfections.
• Inspect and measure finished parts to verify conformance to specifications.
• Follow travelers, work orders, and specifications to complete operations in the correct sequence.
• Monitor machine operation, identify problems, and make necessary adjustments.
