Job summary

Relativity Space in Long Beach, CA is seeking a skilled precision hand worker to join our engine manufacturing team on the second shift. You will deburr, edge finish, and prepare machined components, using pencil grinders, Dremel-style tools, and similar handheld devices.

This role emphasizes meticulous workmanship on high‑value hardware and requires reading engineering drawings and following aerospace manufacturing standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of detailed, precision hand work in manufacturing or prototyping.
• Experience using pencil grinders, Dremel-style tools, polishing tools or similar.
• Strong fine-motor skills and ability to do precise work without damaging surfaces.
• Attention to detail and ability to identify small imperfections visually.
• Comfort working with high-value components and aerospace manufacturing processes.
• Willingness to learn engineering drawings and surface-finish requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision deburring, edge finishing, cleaning, and preparation of machined components.
• Use small rotary and hand tools to remove burrs and imperfections without damage.
• Inspect edges, bores, surfaces, and finishes for workmanship and conformance.
• Conduct borescope and detailed visual inspections to identify defects or contamination.
• Handle and protect precision hardware following defined processes.
