Job summary

Sora Resource Group seeks an experienced Deburrer for a manufacturing client in New York. The role focuses on removing sharp edges, excess material, and surface imperfections while following travelers, work orders, and specifications to ensure quality and safety.

Proficiency with calipers and ERP systems (Epicor 10) is a plus. Ideal candidates have strong attention to detail, hands-on deburring experience, and the ability to follow instructions in a safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of deburring experience or demonstrated ability.
• Ability to read travelers, specifications, and work orders.
• Familiarity with calipers and inspection tools.
• Experience with ERP systems, including Epicor 10.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain deburring machines and grinding tools.
• Deburr components to remove sharp edges and excess material.
• Perform light grinding of welds and surface imperfections.
• Inspect and measure finished parts to verify conformance to specifications.
• Follow travelers, work orders, and specifications to complete operations in the correct sequence.
• Monitor machine operation, identify problems, and make necessary adjustments.
• Mount and position tools, fixtures, and accessories in machines.
• Communicate production needs and issues with coworkers across shifts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
