Job summary

WET Design in Burbank, CA is seeking a Production Assistant - Deburrer to prepare machined components for assembly. You will remove burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections, then wash and prepare parts for the next production stage, ensuring craftsmanship, safety, and appearance meet WET's high standards.

The role requires excellent hand and finger dexterity, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with a high volume of parts while maintaining consistent quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of deburring in production or machine shop.
• Experience with grinders, polishers and related shop tools.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings.
• Strong attention to detail with pace, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Deburr machined parts using grinders, polishers and hand tools.
• Wash, clean, dry and prepare parts for next production stage.
• Inspect parts for burrs, edges, surface defects and quality.
• Handle parts carefully to avoid scratches and preserve traceability.
• Organize and move materials and finished parts through the shop.
• Cut material and fulfill orders per drawings and production priorities.
• Verify cut lengths and material condition before release.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and equipment.
• Troubleshoot basic production issues and escalate safety concerns.
• Perform start-up/shut-down, lubrication, and routine maintenance.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards; cross-train where needed.
• Work overtime/weekends to meet schedules.
