Carmichael International Service in Memphis is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Specialist to join our Import Operations team. This role opens files and enters data related to CBP entries, ensuring all required documentation is received and accurately created in our systems.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, logistics, or international trade, and excels in high-accuracy data entry, with proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of industry-related experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, logistics, or international trade.
• Experience with data entry and customs documentation is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review incoming emails and shipment documentation.
• Verify receipt of all required import and customs documents.
• Open files in the company's operating system.
• Accurately key shipment and customs data into internal systems.
• Coordinate and communicate with operations personnel and team members regarding documentation requirements.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and files.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies in documentation.
• Meet established productivity and accuracy standards.
• Assist with special projects and departmental needs as assigned.
• Follow company procedures, compliance requirements, and operational standards.
