Job summary

Continental is seeking a Cutter Operator to run cutter equipment for body ply and other components in a non-climate controlled plant environment. You will monitor performance, verify materials, and record data while following SOPs and safety rules.

The role requires 12-hour rotating shifts, basic computer skills, and adherence to quality guidelines. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, maintaining inventory levels, and using CGMS/EWM/SBS systems to support output and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and procedures.
• Experience with basic computer tasks and manufacturing systems.
• Ability to work independently in a production setting.
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including days/nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate cutter equipment per schedules and SAP work orders.
• Monitor performance and respond to downtime or abnormal conditions.
• Read and react to setup specs and production requirements.
• Verify materials are available before production begins.
• Record production time, quantities, and data in required systems.
• Use quality monitoring systems to ensure specifications are met.
• Read product specs and use gauges/tools to verify quality.
• Maintain scrap reporting with correct reason codes in SBS.
• Use CGMS, EWM, SBS to support workflow, inventory, and quality.
• Maintain component inventory and stock levels; operate material handling equipment safely.
