Job summary

Print Management Group, a Charlotte, NC based family-owned offset printer, seeks an experienced Cutter Operator to set up, operate, and maintain the cutting line for paper stock and finished goods.

The role requires reading specifications, precise knife setting, and attention to quality. You will work in a manufacturing environment with safety protocols and physical demands, contributing to on-time production and shipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a production environment.
• Ability to read and understand job jackets, imposition and rule-up sheets.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Stand and walk for the majority of the shift with close-toed shoes required.
• Hearing protection provided upon request.

Responsibilities

• Review specs to determine page sequence, fold type and sizes.
• Enter cutting positions in the computer memory in order.
• Operate cutter, engage switches, and begin cutting operations.
• Jog and align sheets on the cutter bed for accurate cuts.
• Inspect cut material for imperfections and adjust as needed.
• Record job information on jackets and production sheets.
• Change knives and lubricate per manufacturer specifications.
• Keep machine and work area clean and safe; report issues to supervisor.
