Job summary

USAM, a high-end architectural millwork firm based in Northern VA, is seeking a Custom Mechanic/Builder for our Manassas, VA facility. You’ll translate shop drawings and work orders into finished millwork products, producing quality cabinets and custom components to meet exacting specifications.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of millwork and cabinet making experience, can read technical drawings accurately, and are skilled with sanding, routers, saws and woodworking hand tools.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in millwork and cabinet making.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Experience with laminate materials and solid surface fabrication; AWI shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read shop drawings and work orders to plan cutting and machining.
• Produce quality custom cabinets and millwork.
• Handle woodworking equipment safely and meet production goals.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
