Job summary

USAM DC is seeking a Cabinet Assembler to join our growing team. This role focuses on manufacturing cabinet projects to meet customer requirements, including quality, safety, and cost targets. Strong blueprint reading, machine setup, and assembly skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of millwork experience, proficiency with woodworking tools, and the ability to work unsupervised while meeting tight deadlines. Collaborative work with clients and staff is expected.

Qualifications

• High skill level and advanced knowledge of cabinet making.
• Experience in more than one area of custom and fixture woodworking.
• Ability to be in charge of projects if directed.
• Ability to work unsupervised and make sound judgments.
• Potential to become a lead person.
• Minimum 1-year experience in millwork and cabinet making.
• Skilled use of sanders, routers, saws and woodworking hand tools.
• Proficient at using tape measure.
• Experience working in an AWI custom shop.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture cabinet projects to meet customer requirements, including delivery, productivity, quality, cost and safety.
• Read blueprints, set up machines, and assemble parts.
• Complete projects within the allotted time with minimal supervision.
• Develop cooperative relationships with company staff, clients, and contacts.
• Plan and organize workloads to meet deadlines and company policies.
• Maintain knowledge of the organization and proper procedures.
