Job summary

Allied Stone Inc. is seeking a Countertop Template Specialist to measure and template countertops in the Houston area. You will live on the road, collect precise measurements, and translate them into CAD templates for fabrication and installation.

Ideal candidates have CAD experience, stone fabrication knowledge, and strong communication skills to coordinate with production and customers. The role includes cross-functional collaboration and field-to-digital templating expertise.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree preferred in Draft or Civil Engineering.
1–2 years field experience in countertop templating or fabrication.
Experience with laser measuring equipment.
Knowledge of stone fabrication and installation.
CAD proficiency for simple-to-moderate drawings.

Responsibilities

Travel daily to residential and commercial job sites to take precise measurements.
Create dimensional drawings based on field measurements.
Translate field drawings into digital templates using AutoCAD or laser equipment.
Operate CAD software to produce installation plans.
Collaborate with production planning and fabrication teams to align templates with materials.
Maintain logs of drawings and revisions in company systems.
Communicate changes to other departments regarding templates.
Identify and document site issues on drawings.
