The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of experience, the ability to read blueprints, interpret shop math, and set up machines with fixtures and cutters.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience operating conventional equipment or equivalent training.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Understanding of machine setups, tooling, and cutters.
• Knowledge of shop math and hand tools.
• Ability to follow QMS reporting and recordkeeping procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operates conventional machining equipment, including milling machines, lathes, drill presses, and tool grinders.
• Sets up machines using appropriate fixtures, tooling, and cutters.
• Interprets blueprints and applies shop math to complete machining work accurately.
• Uses hand tools, including die grinders and deburring tools, to support part completion.
• Follows the QMS, job travelers, customer requirements, and procedures to support product conformity and safety.
• Follows AS9100 procedures and supports continuous improvement efforts.
• Inspects, cleans, and performs general maintenance on conventional machines, fixtures, and the work area.
• Maintains required records, follows reporting procedures, and communicates directly with internal customers.
• Reports quality or time-management concerns and recommendations to management.
• Conducts work in accordance with company safety, ethics, and conduct policies.
