Job summary

Cornerstone Staffing, Inc – Loxo is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair GPS-grade control systems on earthmoving and grading equipment. This hands-on role combines shop work with field service across the Quad Cities region.

You will work with Topcon, Trimble, and SmartGrade platforms, testing system accuracy and supporting field service calls. A strong mechanical/electrical background and comfort with reading schematics are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, field technician, or similar role.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read schematics or willingness to learn.
• Background with construction or industrial equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install and calibrate GPS grade control systems on heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues.

Overview

We are hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair GPS-grade control and machine-control systems for construction equipment.

This is a hands-on role working with modern construction technology systems on earthmoving and grading equipment in both shop and field environments.
