Job summary

Wells in Monroeville, AL is seeking a reliable Batch Plant Operator to accurately batch concrete and operate batching equipment in a safe, efficient environment. You will work closely with Production and Quality teams and support daily plant operations.

Ideal candidates are hands-on, mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot issues, perform basic mix design calculations, and manage materials and deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication with team and leadership.
• Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and operate equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Knowledge of materials and products used in batching operations.
• Adaptable and open to process improvements and operational changes.
• Ability to lead with professionalism, respect, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Production and Quality Control for accurate batching and documentation.
• Operate batching equipment, forklifts, loaders, trucks, and crane-ways.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance in partnership with Maintenance.
• Order and manage materials for batch plant operations.
• Schedule and coordinate deliveries with external vendors.
• Follow and enforce all safety procedures and policies.
• Batch concrete accurately based on job specifications.
• Troubleshoot issues and drive continuous process improvements.
• Perform basic calculations for mix designs and material quantities.
