Job summary

Higgins Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Commercial Drywall Finisher to support our Walls and Ceilings Division on commercial projects across the region.

You will shape and finish drywall surfaces to industry standards, preparing them for paint and coatings while maintaining safety and quality. You will work on ladders and elevated surfaces, coordinate with project teams, mentor less experienced finishers, and uphold our strong safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must provide and maintain personal drywall finishing tools.
• Ability to perform physical job duties.
• Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and elevated surfaces.
• Employment contingent on E-Verify authorization.
• Must pass UA/PCP drug and alcohol screening.
• Must comply with safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and finish drywall surfaces to meet client and industry quality standards.
• Identify and correct imperfections including cracks, seams, and surface irregularities.
• Install corner bead and reinforcement materials.
• Prepare surfaces for final paint or coatings.
• Follow OSHA and company safety policies.
• Maintain clean and organized job sites.
• Coordinate with leadership and project teams.
• Communicate progress and material needs.
• Mentor less experienced finishers.
