Job summary

TekProTEK is seeking a CNC Machinist (2nd Shift) in Downers Grove, IL for a union aerospace and precision manufacturing environment. Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, interpret drawings and G/M-code, manage tooling, touch off tools, and verify critical dimensions with in-process inspections.

You will meet quality targets with a detail-focused mindset in a high-precision shop. 10% shift differential and overtime are available, with possibilities for pay increases through union-driven

Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and compute measurements with metrology tools.
• Competence with micrometers, calipers, gauges and basic inspection routines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes for aerospace parts.
• Interpret drawings, specs, and G/M-code intent.
• Manage tooling, touch off tools, and set work offsets.
• Perform in-process inspections and verify critical dimensions.
• Hit quality and output targets without compromising precision.
