Job summary

APX is seeking a CNC Router Operator to support precision component fabrication on our metal manufacturing floor in Mercersburg, PA. You will read blueprints, set up CNC routers, and use measurement tools to ensure accuracy while coordinating with the Production Supervisor.

Carpentry familiarity is a plus for adapting to tools and materials used on site. Responsibilities include maintaining schedules, providing production feedback, and performing inspections.

Qualifications

• Reads and analyzes blueprints with accuracy.
• Must be detail-oriented and precise in measurement.
• Good math skills and clear communication with the team.
• Experience with CNC milling is preferred; carpentry familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines to produce high-quality parts.
• Meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Provide feedback on production metrics and goals.
• Operate manual milling machine as required.
• Diagnose tool wear patterns and causes.
• Suggest product optimization ideas.
• Perform open bench quality inspections.
• Collaborate with tooling vendors for optimal solutions.
• Stand for 8-hour shifts on site.
