The role focuses on developing and optimizing CNC programs to translate engineering requirements into efficient, safe machining processes that meet strict dimensional and surface finish standards. The candidate will work closely with machinists, manufacturing engineering, and quality teams to ensure first-article

Qualificações

• Ability to read engineering drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to machining processes.
• Proficiency with G-code and M-code, machining principles, cutting tools, and workholding.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software, program verification, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
• Ability to use precision inspection tools and communicate effectively with machinists and engineers.

Responsabilidades

• Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from engineering drawings, solid models, and manufacturing requirements.
• Develop machining sequences and select cutting tools, holders, workholding, speeds, feeds, and setup strategies.
• Use CAD/CAM tools and verification methods to identify machining risks before release.
• Support first-piece prove-outs, machine setups, troubleshooting, and program adjustments on the production floor.
• Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional consistency.
• Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, program documentation, and operator instructions; maintain revision control.
• Collaborate with quality personnel to address dimensional issues and verify print requirements.
• Assist with fixture concepts and provide feedback on manufacturability.
