Job summary

LRSolutions, LLC is seeking a skilled CNC Programmer for a manufacturer of temperature sensors, compression seal fittings, and cable assemblies in Buffalo, NY. You will develop and optimize CNC programs for precision parts, translating engineering requirements into efficient machining processes.

Collaborate with machinists, manufacturing engineering, and quality to ensure dimensional and finish specs are met.

Qualifications

Practical CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
Ability to read engineering drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing to machining processes.
Working knowledge of G-code, M-code, machining principles, cutting tools, and workholding.
Experience with CAD/CAM software, program verification, and shop-floor troubleshooting.
Ability to use precision inspection tools and communicate effectively with machinists and engineers.

Responsibilities

Create, modify, and maintain CNC programs from engineering drawings, solid models, and manufacturing requirements.
Develop machining sequences and select cutting tools, holders, workholding, speeds, feeds, and setup strategies.
Use CAD/CAM tools and verification methods to identify machining risks before release.
Support first-piece prove-outs, machine setups, troubleshooting, and program adjustments on the production floor.
Optimize toolpaths, cycle times, tool life, surface finish, and dimensional consistency.
Prepare setup sheets, tooling lists, program documentation, and operator instructions; maintain revision control.
Collaborate with quality personnel to address dimensional issues and verify print requirements.
Assist with fixture concepts and feedback on manufacturability and recurring production issues.
