Caliberr Staffing in Buffalo, NY is seeking a CNC Programmer/Machinist to program, configure, and run CNC mills and lathes in a custom production setting, crafting high-precision parts with strict quality standards.

You will read blueprints, select tooling, set offsets, verify parts with micrometers and calipers, and collaborate with quality and production teams to meet daily output while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• At least one year of professional CNC machining experience.
• Proficiency in deciphering mechanical blueprints and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of G-code and M-code programming languages.
• Capability to set up machines, adjust tools, and establish work offsets.
• Strong understanding of machining fundamentals including speeds and feeds.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programs for milling and turning equipment for custom projects and production runs.
• Configure, manage, and debug CNC machinery to achieve optimal throughput.
• Interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to define machining sequences.
• Determine tooling, offsets, and refine workflows to improve output.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final quality checks.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy.
• Collaborate with quality, production, and leadership to overcome machining challenges.
• Meet production timelines while maintaining high craftsmanship.
• Suggest process improvements to reduce waste and boost efficiency.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols.
