Qualifications

• Experience reading engineered drawings and loading CNC programs.
• Ability to operate waterjet, plasma, or laser cutting machines.
• Inspect parts with precision measuring instruments.
• Maintain accurate daily inspection records and replace consumables.
• Identify and remediate safety hazards in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Plan work from traveler, prints, and instructions; select tools and materials.
• Develop and load CNC programs; select cutting operation and adjust speeds.
• Program new parts as needed.
• Monitor machine operation and verify settings; detect malfunctions.
• First piece inspection until parts meet specifications.
• Run more than one machine as needed.
• Report damage or machine faults to supervisor.
• Use measuring devices to verify print specifications.
• Collaborate with material handler to load/unload plates.
• Keep work area, machines, and tools clean and maintained.
• Follow established operating procedures; ensure safety.
