Job summary

Torrey Holistics• is seeking a CNC Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC machinery for drilling and geotechnical equipment. You will ensure parts meet tight tolerances, document production and inspections, and mentor junior operators in a fast-paced shop.

Proficiency in G-code, CAM software, and experience with Mastercam or Fusion 360 is preferred, along with the ability to read blueprints and troubleshoot issues promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years CNC machining experience required.
• Proficiency in G-code programming required.
• Ability to work to tight tolerances (±0.001" ) required.

Responsibilities

• Program CNC machines using G-code and CAM software.
• Perform complex setups, including fixturing, tooling selection, and offsets.
• Machine close-tolerance parts from steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys.
• Inspect finished parts to blueprint specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor CNC Operators and Assistants.
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
