Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate horizontal machining centers on the 2nd shift. You will set up tools, fixtures, and programs, ensuring tight tolerances and high quality. You will also measure parts with calipers and micrometers, recording data and communicating any deviations.

The role requires 1–3 years of CNC experience, blueprints literacy, and strong problem-solving skills. You will participate in routine maintenance while adhering to safety practices and standard work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational machining training preferred.
• NIMS or related CNC certification is advantageous.
• 1–3 years operating CNC equipment; horizontal machining center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Configure, set up, and operate CNC horizontal machining centers for production runs.
• Stage and exchange fixtures, workholding devices, tools, and programs per job router.
• Optimize offsets and tools; adjust to sustain tolerances.
• Follow standard work, record run data, and communicate deviations promptly.
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, gauges; interpret readings to maintain specs.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot as needed.
• Support additional tasks assigned by leadership.
