Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Setup Milling Machinist to join our manufacturing team in the New York area. You will set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components according to drawings.

Qualifications

• 3 years of CNC milling experience.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Ability to set up CNC milling machines and select tools.
• Must work with precision and maintain quality.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines to produce precision components.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
• Install cutting tools, workholding, and fixtures.
• Set tool offsets, speeds, feeds, and machine parameters.
• Perform first-piece inspections and adjust for quality.
• Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and inspection tools.
• Troubleshoot machining and setup issues.
• Maintain production and inspection records.
• Keep work area clean and organized; perform routine maintenance.
• Collaborate with programmers, engineers, and machinists to improve setups.
• Follow safety and quality procedures.
