The role requires strong CAM proficiency, GD&T interpretation, and a track record of improving cycle times and quality.

Qualifications

5+ years of CNC milling programming experience in metal stamping/manufacturing environment.
Proficient with CAM software such as Mastercam or GibbsCAM.
Strong understanding of G-code, CNC machining principles, tooling selection, feeds and speeds.

Responsibilities

Program, edit, and optimize CNC milling programs using CAM software (Mastercam/GibbsCAM).
Create machining programs for VMCs to manufacture tooling components and precision parts.
Program and maintain the InspecVision optical inspection system for automated quality verification.
Interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GD&T to determine machining strategies.
Develop setup and program sheets detailing machine setups, tooling, paths, and grind stock specs.
Troubleshoot programming issues to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
Analyze processes and implement improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
Monitor tool performance and inventory; coordinate replenishment of tools.
