Job summary

American Rheinmetall, in Michigan, is seeking a CNC Machinist to operate lathe machining centers and perform boring, facing, and threading on metal parts. You will program, set up, and run parts while verifying conformance to GD&T, logging production data, and maintaining equipment and safety standards.

The role requires familiarity with measuring tools (caliper, micrometer) and the ability to troubleshoot and adjust programs as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret GD&T on blueprints and drawings.
• Experience programming and operating CNC milling/turning centers.
• Ability to set up tooling, chucks, and fixtures for machining.
• Experience measuring parts and ensuring conformance to specifications.
• Document production and quality logs accurately.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining work by reviewing orders, drawings, and specs.
• Program CNC machines and verify tooling offsets and references.
• Set up CNC equipment and fixtures for production runs.
• Measure and inspect first parts and samples to verify accuracy.
• Maintain safety, quality, and housekeeping standards on the shop floor.
