Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East in Pacoima, CA is seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Lathe Operator for a full-time, temp-to-hire role. The position runs Monday through Friday, 6am to 3:30pm, with a $18 to $24 per hour pay range based on experience.

You will program mills and lathes, set up tooling, load stock, verify measurements, and ensure quality and safety standards. Family-owned shop environment with growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, and orthographic drawings.
• Take inventory by checking stock and placing orders as needed.
• Program mills and lathes by entering instructions and reference points.
• Set up mills by installing and adjusting three and four jaw chucks, tools, and attachments.
• Load stock into position and feed mechanism.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first run part, and sample workpieces.
• Maintain specifications during drilling, grooving, turning, knurling and thread chasing operations.
• Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to maintain safe operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as required.
• Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
• Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
